Drop arm design
Unlike a traditional lateral arm awning that extends horizontally over a deck, the Shasta's drop arms angle downward — giving you full vertical coverage of a window or opening. Perfect for blocking low morning or afternoon sun that a horizontal awning can't reach.
With 170° of adjustable inclination, you control exactly how much light and heat gets through. Retract it fully when you want the view back.

Why the Shasta
Blocks low sun angles
The drop arm design extends downward — perfect for morning or afternoon sun that enters at a low angle where a horizontal awning provides no coverage.
Reduces room temperature up to 20°F
By stopping heat before it reaches the glass, the Shasta dramatically reduces cooling loads — without blocking your natural light entirely.
170° of adjustable inclination
From fully open to fully closed, you control the angle. Fine-tune how much light and privacy you want throughout the day without operating the motor.
Advanced Ribbon Technology (ART)
Rainier's exclusive tension transmission system keeps fabric taut for years. Tested to 60,000 cycles — far outlasting chain (8,000) or cable (5,000) systems.
Sunbrella® fabric, 150+ colors
100% solution-dyed acrylic fabric with a 10-year warranty on fabric and seams. Won't rot, mildew, or fade — guaranteed for Pacific Northwest conditions.
Optional protective hood
Available up to 30' wide in matching frame color. Protects fabric and motor from the elements when retracted — ideal for year-round Pacific Northwest use.
Rainier exclusive
Unlike chain or cable systems that stretch and wear over time, Rainier's ART tension transmission uses multiple steel cables in a polycarbonate UV-resistant coating — keeping your fabric perfectly taut year after year.
170° adjustable inclination
From nearly straight-up to nearly straight-down, the Shasta's spring-loaded arms give you continuous control over how much sun, light, and privacy you want — for any time of day, any season. Works on both wall and ceiling/soffit installations.

Two ways to install
01
Wall mounted
The most common installation. The bracket mounts directly to the exterior wall above the window or opening. Ideal for most residential applications — clean, low-profile, and works with any window size. The spring-loaded arms drop down to your desired coverage angle.

Customer stories
★★★★★
Cheryl Hunter — Seattle, WA
"We wanted one the full length of our deck — 35 feet. Other local awning companies did not do ones as wide, but Rainier did. The crew were all so polite and gracious. We are beyond impressed. Going with a company that has been in business since 1896 gave us assurance."
